Reports on the progress of Romania's accession to the EU

The task of the Ministry of European Integration is to regulate the normative and institutional framework to achieve objectives in its field of activity as well as to follow and control the transposition of Community regulations into the national legislation.

 

Practically, the Ministry of European Integration coordinates the preparation process for Romania's accession to the EU. In this respect, the Ministry of European Integration coordinates the preparation of reports on the progress registered in the preparation for Romania's accession to the EU.

 

There is no initiative in itself to proper measure indicators related to democracy, human rights or governance. In this field, the Ministry's work relates only to monitoring the fulfillment of the political criteria (internal and external sources) as required by EU legislation and endorsing legislative proposals related to the European integration process.
